Chisel Factor seeks to reduce the high youth unemployment rate in our region. After developing an accurate understanding of the local labor needs through a wide range of local networks, targeted research, and a board of directors, the Job Placement Training Program establishes and develops relationships with businesses ranging from SMEs to multinational collaborations in order to identify the skills demanded by employers and secure job commitments prior to training.
The program works alongside its employer partners and through partnerships with world-class universities to design practical training courses that meet the employers' needs and the market demand. Graduates from the program are therefore trained for immediate employment and often receive a job position quickly.
The Job Placement Training Program is implemented by an innovative network of locally run, affiliated not-for-profits that seek to improve youth employment prospects in our region through comprehensive skills training. The Job Placement Program's demand-driven model connects employers directly with the trained workforce that they seek. We also identify sectors of the economy with high growth and employment potential but that lack adequately skilled workers, and train youth with the specific skills required to obtain job placements in these industries
